2009 Selene 53 – Proven Long-Range Passage Maker
Tenebo combines Selene’s renowned offshore capability with the comfort, practicality and self-sufficiency required for extended cruising. Powered by a single 400hp Cummins QSL9, she is supported by a Wesmar APU connected directly to the propeller shaft for an additional layer of propulsion security.
A walk-around deck layout provides safe, effortless movement around the vessel, with Dutch doors either side of the wheelhouse, a Portuguese bridge with storage and gate access to the foredeck, and boarding gates to port, starboard and transom. Above, the flybridge becomes a second living space — with full navigation station, twin helm seats and bimini, while the tender sits close at hand on its own electric davit.
Below, two queen-size cabins and a third with twin single berths provide genuine comfort for extended cruising, with an additional single bunk in the wheelhouse for watch-keeping on long runs. There are 2 heads, heated towel rails, 2 interior showers and a dedicated cockpit shower. Air conditioning and generous storage throughout make her equally at home on a three-week passage or three months at anchor.
